I'm at school, it is Friday, the weather is horrible, and I find a little moment for myself now.
As I'm thinking what to write about, SOPA pops into my head.

SOPA, you say?

What have I been doing the last few weeks?
Ah come on, it's holiday for me, do you expect I'll write a message to you guys every week when I can:

- Finish the Driver: Parallel Lines game in a very short time
- Play Minecraft
- Play Terraria
- Wonder where my Spore Galactic Adventures disc has gone
- Play Another World
- Upload Youtube Videos
- Try to get Lego Star Wars working on Windows 7

Oh, yes, of course! I almost forgot to tell you what kinds of things I've already done this holiday!

Exams... It's been a while!

The results for my exams are in!
Yay, I made it!
I can continue now and start at my HBO (Dutch, Higher Profession Education, where you learn about a certain subject, Informatics, in my case.)
So, I don't know what happens in other countries, but in the Netherlands we use to put out schoolbag somewhere outside so everyone can see it. That means you're graduated. (Did I spell that right? Or did I spell it left? Ah, whatever!)
Now for my notes:

Exams...

My exams have started now!
Today was Dutch, and it went pretty well ;)
Let's hope it'll stay that way.
My other exams are English, Maths, Physics, Chemics, Philosophy
I'll make a post when the results are in.

Pokemon Black

Pokemon Black: ¤39,99.
It is quite a nice pokemon game. There are a lot of new pokemon and new tools and key items. Many things can be personalized... Good graphics... I'll give it 8/10 rating.

School is over

Yay! School is over for me, only the exams are left!

Just played Minecraft Beta 1.5

I just played MC Beta 1.5 for the first time. Almost felt like downgrading to 1.4, but the powered and detector rails did it for me.
But except from that, Beta 1.5 is crappy all over. You should wait until the next version, it's just seriously bad.

Weird glitch

I had a weird glitch when using VLC media player.
Let me tell you what happened in what conditions:

- Windows xp
- a .flv video file.
- paint and every other image manipulation program.

Open .flv in VLC
Take PrintScr with the button on your keyboard.
Paste  in Img Manip. Program.
You can now watch the video in the program.

Sounds pretty weird.
I'll see I upload a video on youtube sometime.

Weird words

Watching a news program is all about the weather.
So I was watching the weather, and I suddenly saw this:

Town 1: Sunny periods
Town 2: Periods with sun

Then I saw that again, and again! Someone is being really annoying here, using almost exactly the same desription, almost looking random?
What the hell is the difference between those two weather conditions?
And the dumbness doesn't stop there, oh no!
Somewhere else I read something about clouds being "crumbled". WTF?
A little below that I read something about "sealing again with thick clouds."
Sealing? How are clouds supposed to seal or crumble?

Hey, mommy!
Yes, dear?
There's a crumb of cloud on my coat!

That's just weird.

Archery competition

Yep, we have archery competitions too.
Every first Saturday of the month.
So, I went and won a 1st prize.
Next time I went and won a 3rd prize.
I am glad that I can practice on Wednesday again without having to hurry, that's all over now.

But the start of this year was not magnificent:
December:
The organizing club (Ruurlo) forgot the floating trophy.

January:
Ruurlo forgot the floating trophy and the Jan. prizes.

February:
Ruurlo forgot the floating trophy and the Jan. prizes and the Feb. prizes.

Let's just hope they won't forget everything next time.
That would be absolutely stupid because...
Next competition is in Ruurlo. ;-)

Hope they don't forget about the competition itself...

Haircut

I had a haircut Monday.
I really needed one
My hairs were almost touching my nose.

So, I had my hair cut and now I look better.
Although it is a bit cold outside for my head now.
Pity.

MineCraft video: Core Plant

It is on youtube now. Thumbs up!
I play MineCraft very often, and I made a lot more buildings. Maybe I will make video's of those buildings too.
Anyways, I didn't hack for this, or any other building.
I get everything I need from MineCraft itself, no INVedit, Cheat Engine or anything similar.

Grim Reaper

We all know about the Grim Reaper, right?
I thought about "him" a lot.
Not about death, just about who the Grim Reaper is.
Everyone thinks differently of him, I believe.
I do not know that for sure of course.
However, there are some things, that don't differ:

- Scythe
- Robe
- Bony fingers

But that's it. We all know what Grim looks like, but we don't know the personality.
So, time for me to write a 'lil article about "him".

I think he's just a nice guy who has been given an awful job.
Many people are given awful jobs all the time. Why couldn't Grim be one of them. Certain jobs just need to be done, so you just pick a person.

I also believe that Grim doesn't actually kill people.
I think he cuts the soul from the dead body so it is free to do whatever it should after the body is dead.

Just sharing, right?

Archery

Every Wednesday I take my bow and my arrows for some practice at the local archery club. I always love Wednesday. But recently (Archery starts at 19:30) we couldn't manage to make it in time anymore, or we would have to have dinner on different times: me and my mother 18:30, my father and brother 19:00.

And so we did.

I am just glad that I didn't have to sacrifice achery.

It is just weird that these kind of things happen so often.
I believe society has a chronic communication problem.

What to do about it?
I wish I knew.

GameMaker

Once opun a time a very random thing happens to somebody.
Random things happen to somebody quite more often than that, but its a funny phrase, so I still put it there anyway.
A random thing which has happened to me, is this:

GameMaker came into my life, connected to YoYoGames.
(- How is that random?
 - It isn't.
 - But you said....
 - Wait and see. Or rather wait and read.)
I made a lot of terrific games but I have only oploaded three so far.

Now for the random bit:
GameMaker came into my life once more, not at all connected to YoYoGames.
What is was connected to?
1) The chance that Informatics is taught as a subject on a school is not THAT big.
2) The chance that GameMaker is treated as a project within the Informatics course is not big either.
But let it be clear that those two things actually happened to me.
Random?
Yes, I do think so.

So, what we must do:
We must develop a game that promotes our school, particularly focused on that our "college" (2ndary school) is quite okay with computers.
First thing to do:
Download a complete set of pokémon images (sprites) that can be used in our game.

That's how far we got until now.
And it's still getting more and more random.

I like games.

Saturday

Great!
Saturday evening means to me as much as:
"Watching a movie on TV while eating some crisps and drinking some beer."
(Note: Where I live, beer is legal at the age of 16+.)
It was Saturday, yesterday:
So, we had dinner.
After dinner, I went to my friend to tell him about my new blog.
At 20:30 I was home again.
I sat on the sofa looking up the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
Read about Ford, Arthur, and a lot of other guys again.
As relaxed as I was, I totally forgot about Saturday eve.
So I put my book aside, turn on the TV.
Look up Teletext for news (would have been my first news in weeks).
Then... suddenly!
Nothing happened.
Still nothing happened.
I thought: "Why does nothing happen?" because I was out of my concentration.
I should be out of my concentration for SOME reason, but appearently there was none.
Then my dad came in, carrying a bottle of beer and some crisps.
Never thought I would forget something like that.
Something as vitally important to my mental condition as a few hours of the Lord of the Rings or something similar every week?
Nah, impossible.
But is impossible so impossible as it seems?
I think we are just using the wrong word 99% of the time.
Is that random or not?
So, then I had my Saturday eve's beer, crisps, movie...
And we all lived happily ever after.
